Cleaning wooden tables with regular cleaners available on the counter, is not recommended. These particular type of cleaners aren’t meant for wooden furniture and also contain harsh chemicals which could damage the protective coating.
Use a cleaning product designed to be used on wooden furniture. Below is a quick step-by-step guide on how to clean your table generally, without the use of such products.
- Fill a bucket with warm water and add a cup of vinegar and a bit of dish soap, then mix.
- Dampen a soft cloth in the water and then wipe the table. The mixture should disinfect the table, whilst removing the dirt.
- Wash the cloth with clean water and then wipe the table again.
- Dry the table with another cloth, making sure there are no watermarks.
